STUDIO SPOTLIGHT After three years of startup, DreamWorks SKG, founded by Steven Spielberg, Jeff Katzenberg, and David Geffen, finally made it to theaters with their first feature film - The Peacemaker in September. It opened at number one with $12.3M and finished with $41.3M - not fantastic but with a strong international release the movie will break $110M in ticket sales worldwide. Spielberg's Amistad followed in December and is playing well but not to stellar numbers as hoped for. The third and final title of the year for the freshman studio was the family film Mouse Hunt which is the highest-grossing of the three DreamWorks movies with a final gross near $60M.
