Episode III Update
The reign of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith entered its second week on Thursday with a gross of $9.1M inching up 5% from the previous day. The final Jedi film is holding up better than Episode II from 2002 as well as The Matrix Reloaded from 2003 on the Thursday before heading into the long Memorial day holiday weekend in their respective years.
Episode III cracked the $200M mark in a mere eight days matching the record held solo until now by Spider-Man 2. Cume to date for Sith stands at $200.5M going into the holiday session where the $250M mark is sure to crumble quickly.
